Quantic was living in Cali, Colombia for years, producing brilliant records with musicians and singers that fused reggae, cumbia, Caribbean sounds. This is the latest collab, and likely his last from Cali (he moved to Brooklyn). Singer Nidia Góngora hails from an Afro-Colombian community and brings some West African-flavored folkloric singing to Quantic's thick and slick thump.
